Why is it forcing me to install it to C: ?

I am trying to install ZP and during the install it asks me where I want to install to.

I have a drive setup for games (G where steam is, so I point it at this directory.

Click install and off it goes installing it to c:\program files\steam instead of g:\steam\

Why? and how do I make it realise it is not on C: ?

Seems to be a bug in the install file. I had the same problem. Just install it in the directory it says and copy all the files over to the equivalent directory in G. Then restart Steam.

Its the way the installer is set up, its just our default position.

Yes, except I dunno if you know this or not (forgive me if you do), but if one changes the C letter to another partition, it installs everything to the C drive anyway. Now it didn't do this to me with the patch, but it did do this to me with the first "full game" release of ZPS beta. (My steam folder is in the D partition.)

And this is what happened to me and the original poster, not sure if this has happened to everybody.

Not sure if your statement reflects this, so I go blahblahblah anyway.
