Default Survivors, welded or nailed door baracades

perhaps part of the reason zombies win so often is because they can freely turn door handles, passing through unblocked doors unchallenged. my idea is either being able to use boards to barricade doors, or being able to pick up a welder to weld fence doors, or metal doors. then, the door has "health" (or strength) which the zombies must hit to break through.

It would probably be a good idea to make zombies able to break easily through weak barricades to avoid exploitation of this addition.

Great idea.

Some maps have doors that are already nailed shut and i've seen people either melee the wood off or the zombies break it to get in.

Good example is the police station map, the Ammo shop has a door just like that but you can pass through the window anyways. (Sigh)

with the wood planks, i was thinking more along the lines of putting them behind a door, that way zombies would have to force their way in

well.. What?s the difference between having a bunch of survivors on one side of the door (Which is unbarricaded) and the zombies just storm in through the door, and having a welded door between a bunch of survivors and the zombies have to hit it like 6 times before it breaks.... No difference at all.

Zombies being able to open doors is really a little weird. Maybe the zombies should have to bash the doors, what takes time.....would make great horror flair! of course the humans need to be able to close doors.....and different types of material take different time to destroy.

Well, along these lines of zombies being able to do ???? humans can do too I don't want to wave ???? in peoples faces but I read hte zombie survival guide (<3 I'm a dork) and it made a true reference in no zombie movie has a zombie ever jumped. They've sprinted but they've never jumped. I think it sucks because it really taked off of the 'zombie' feel I mean we already have super zombies that know where everyone is and can communicate with one another as well as figure out to get shot run regen then come back. It's kind of like other multi player games like 'deathball' in halo is the only one I can think of where you have threw skull and it kills everyone one hit. Seems to me like we're losing the 'zombie' aspect of the game to peopel who can regenerate and only hit melee attacks.

We don't really care about the zombie guide. Personally I think it sucks ??? because zombies aren't real and people should make their own versions, instead of following the same old type.
I want a fun game, not a realistic one.

the only thing is that ur idea is already being published in the mod "no more room in hell". they stated that they will be having a barricade mode so i dont know if the team over at ZP will want to use that idea, thats all im saying but it would be awsome to have that feature in all zombie games

I completly agree with infernal it really makes no point because the zombies would just break it down anyways and survivors would have to carry more things just to barricade a door thats going to be broken anyways.
