Can someone please make a map representing a graveyard. I know that sounds morbid, but it's not really because alot of your zombie movies takes place from them and they would really add to the atmosphere of the game.

If someone does make a map of the graveyard you can have it INSTEAD of zombie spawn over or near a grave make it fun and realistic, and have the zombies spawn INSIDE of a grave. The zombie spawns inside of a grave so how does he get out? Well either 1 of 2 options or maybe both:

1. A big grave just place a ladder for it to climb out.

2. Or a small grave so all the zombie has to do is jump on a box (or a small dirt hill) then out.

But please make the graves big enough where the zombie CAN'T be seen when he's spawning.

If you make a graveyard put fake dirt over it. What do I mean you ask? Simple I seen some maps do this: the "alive" characters see dirt over the grave so they can't see whether or not the grave is empty.

Now the zombie can see through this dirt and tell whether or not it should go up.

And make it where the human can go down in the grave, BUT has a very small chance of survival.

Make sure the graveyard is big enough put a church thing in the middle of the graveyard where humans can go and hide. The human spawn can be at the front gate entrance of the graveyard NOT the church itself otheriwse you'll have spawn campers. Force them to walk through the graveyard in order to get to the church.

Make the map pretty dark so it seems scary, but not too dark so people's fps won't be affected.

And most importantly if you please go easy on the textures and the sprites otherwise some of our video cards won't be able to handle the map.

Thank you for listening.

cool idea, but why not make ladders that are skinned as just dirt to the zombie can "climb" out with a ladder but it doesnt appear that way?

That's an even better idea, just as long as the zombie can see the camouflaged ladder.

Yeah, thats a cool idea for a map. The church can have a couple of rooms as well as a basement. The basement can even have a tunnell leading to some underground catacombs that can serve as a secondary zombie spawn, so the survivors have to watch there in addition to the door.

The church can also have a steeple where survivors can scout/snipe from if they want.

Just doodle up a layout and scan it, or do one on MS paint or Photoshop and I'll happily take a stab at it. :D

Ok I pretty much have a good layout for you to get started in my head. I was going to do this myself until I remembered I suck at the hammer editor. Anyway I'll do the best I can with MS paint and have it up later tonight.

Thanks.

If you can, make the outside area misty/smoky like the zombie spawn in zp_nation. That would look awesome. And definitly make it at night (of course)

I tried to ask in #zp-mapping but they seem a little idle, On zp_nation how is that fog/smoke done? Is it a sprite cause I couldn't find it.. Unless its the haze.spr?

You know thats a good idea there that'll add to gameplay.

But how many doors in the church should lead to the basement?

I got a good idea for the basement spawning. Well outside they spawn from graves, but in the basement they can spawn from coffins.
