Default zpo objective help please

hey, im making a fairly basic zpo map it goes like this.

Im making a king of the hill type objective map, where the team that holds the top of a massive pillar for five minutes will win.


anyone willing to help me out by telling me how I could set this up?

my main problem is how to make it run a timer while people are in a certain area, when the timer finishes it should trigger the game win.

I'm really new to hammer and to making objectives. But, what if you made two flag poles or something and tied a button to each one with team filters applied to them? While Zombie flag is up, the human flag is down. As the timer runs out, it would depend on which button is currently depressed to determine the winner of the round. That might be easier than trying to have something that is based on which team is in the area as the timer runs out. Either way, I suspect you will have to research the 'logic' entities to make it work. Sorry it doesn't really help, but it might give you a new way to think about it.

the description on the tutorial page about how filters work is... unclear at best, ive tried it but it completely fails.

im going to go with a trigger that activates the end game trigger after 4 minutes, it will disable it after 3 seconds which means if you dont get it in the window you have to wait untill the next window opens to trigger it.


or at least something along those lines, might even just make it a button you have to press every x time period within its active window. after x ammount of triggers for the button the game ends in human victory. or somesuch
