i have yet to use my panic button.... i find it really dumb to drop all your weapons... on a colt alone u can surive 2 zombies rushing you... so why drop it?

Because they slow you down. If you have 5 zombies coming toward you and no other survivors are close by, you might kill a couple of them but they will end up overwhelming you by sheer force of numbers.

To clarify: the panic button will drop everything except your crowbar and the weapon you are currently holding. So switch to your shotgun/colt/other weapon of choice or necessity, drop everything else and run like hell. If you're good, you should be able to stay alive long enough to work your way back to your dropped weapons & ammo by the time you run out of ammo on the weapon you kept :).

Join an empty server. :P

Smartarse :). The problem with that, though, is that other people will join and you'll end up getting killed all the same.

lol, yes that is the best way to not get killed, or when a buttload of zombies are after u, if u got a nuke on u, i mean some c4(thats right the serverside patch fixed it up)place it and just wait for the fireworks, but if u dont have the c4, well ur on ur own...
