Two tactics I've found work really well:
1.) Scare the ~~~~~ out of them using your microphone; just as you're closing in for a sneaky kill, blurt some zombie noises down the microphone as you claw them to death - They turn around to not only see a zombie chomping away at their shoulder, but it's making a scary noise too! You might think "Who's gonna fall for that?" but I do it on every kill, and it almost ALWAYS knocks their aim well off.
2.) Scare Tactics; When they ask 'how many of us left'? Give them a false number! If you tell them there's 8 left, when there's really 1, he's gonna run around like a headless chicken trying to find safety in numbers, and in doing so is more-likely to hit a wall of zombies.
If you tell them there's only 3 left when there's about 10, you may run into the "No there isn't; we're all in a room together!" problem, but you may also make a few of the more impressionable survivors start to panic and act more rash.
