I'm making a forest map where's a cabin on a middle of the forest and I need help to finish it. All I need is some forest textures like trees and stuff and forest models like big trees, but I'dont want them to be too jungleish, so I just want simple forest things not nothing too exotic like palmtrees.

I'll post some pics later because I'm trying to find good host for my files right now.

I'm sure that googling HL1 Textures would get some results. You'll just have to sift through all of the texture until you find one that suits your eye. :wacko:

Here's the pic of my map, but I'm going to redo it because it's just a big box now.
And is it really ok to use dod textures and models in my map?

It's little too dark, I tried to adjust the brightess but it didn't work out.

I'm pretty sure CS/DoD textures can be used in any mod, so long as the original .wad files aren't modified, which sucks if you want to cut the size down.

you can include the textures, so u don't need the wad file after compiling

CS/DoD textures are copyrighted Valve and can be used in any modification, and changed in any form so long as they are put back in to something Valve have created (ie. in a hl mod not ut2k4 mod) and you mention "Valve" someone in the thanks in either a map for textures or in just a general readme as a whole in a modification.
