Hey all, you remember my notld map? well there has been a change in plans, since I am not sticking to the original NOTLD design I have renamed the map

Anyways, i will spend this entire weekend working diligently on finishing the map as much as possible, I suspect the map will be done soon, and ready to be playtested, then played.

Looks a bit unrealistic, but non the less, pretty cool.

I think hes referring to your choice in textures and prop placments in how you create your theme of the map. It does not seem to have a decided theme, like the wallpaper which would be in a house and a brick trim above it. Then you have crates everywhere and metal tables so it has some more industrial/warehouse aspects to it. The props seem to just be randomly placed without a purpose is what I think he was getting at.

well, let me adress that

its a warehouse found by humans, and this is converted into a house to live and survive in,, i duno about you but if i holed up in a warehouse id wanna make it look more like home right?, and all those boxes are equipment, food and guns stored in the warehouse before the infection spread.

also, the random assortment of props is there for the zombies, for cover, if the rooms were empty, zombies would die, every round

and also, maps like mallofthedead, which were sloppilly made, with no effort or thought, get not even half the scrutiny i just did, and i spent a month making this, so if you wanna talk about theme, look at all those horrific maps released so far, half of them are fullbright compiled incorrectly, with thousands of bugs and horrific framerates, and yet, my map is 'unrealistic'

well since when were zombie games supposed to be realistic?

I thought I was providing you with some helpful/constructive criticism. I dont think there is anything wrong with your map per say, and if I was misleading in the way I critiqued it you should not view it as me finger pointing saying you need to do this and that. I am merely pointing out areas that need improvement. For me personally when I look at your screenshots I did not know what kind of setting it was which is why I said you need to work on selling the theme of your map. If you are just looking for praise without negative comments you should say so and I will refrain from posting in your thread.

im just releasing the map now, for playtesting to see how it plays, what i can add, or remove to make it more fun,scary....etc

later im gonna slap up a download link if my ???? filehost works that is

hope to see u guys in-game soon in my map, i wanna hear in-game suggestions, comments
