Humans should get a sprint.
BUT!
It shouldn't be the sprint you're all expecting. Not a short burst of speed. A long, 30 to 45 second slight jolt of speed that increases your travel rate 5% - 15%.
This is mainly for atmospheric and "feel" reasons. People feel like they're moving slow now, and the sprint would be helpful to alleviate that feeling. Not only that, but when the game is winding to an end, when a survivor is running away from a group of zombies, he's naturally going to be sprinting. He'll eventually run out of sprint, and then, when low on stamina, the heartbeat and panting sounds can play, and it'll add a whole atmospheric touch to being the last one alive, out of breath, with a ton of zombies after you. :D
