i cant even play this game for more than 15mins with out getting the
"engine error : failed to lock vertex buffer in CmeshDX8" error message

i was browsing though other forums trying to solve the problem and some ppl were saying update your graphics card driver.

here are my specs
Advent 7093 laptop
intel centrino duo
1gig ram
7400 go

i have a nvidia 7400go but there are no drivers for that on their website.
i found an 84.54 driver for it and when i went to install it wouldnt work coz i kept getting some error

"Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatable with your current hardware, setup will now exit"

so now that that dusnt work do you think nvida omega drivers will work, without ????ign something up with the laptop, jsut coz this is my dads laptop and he dosnt like me messing around with it.

Seems like you're using Direct X 8. 8's just a "tad" out of date and is the reason why you're crashing, hell it even says the issue. There's something causing not working correctly with your Direct X 8. I am not entirely sure whether or not your video card supports Direct X 9, but look into upgrading from 8 to 9, IF it's possible. After doing that the problem should be fixed, but if you're unable to upgrade from 8 to 9, try going into the video settings and turning everything on low or off. If this works, slowly bring one low to medium ( detail and all that good stuff ) one by one until you've got a decent looking, playing game.
