Just reserving a spot for future maps. Only reason I posted this was to give people hope of at least one more map to come. I'm not sure what the first map will be, but I know I'm defiantly going to attempt to create a White House zombie attack. I guess you could consider me...a little above amateur Hammer map maker. But as far as Map Making, I've done it in every game that I could.

Just over excited to make a map. Haven't played a game where I could actually design a map for a little while. And I do now have a map idea.
A small neighborhood, with perfect lawns, perfect houses, and perfect lives. Everything is perfect in zps_neighborhood. The single girl down the street is going on a date tonight and the whole neighborhood knows. All the street lamps are lite, excluding the one by Old Man Peters house. Old Man peter is always one to cause trouble in this perfect little block. His house is dingy, and you can smell him from a mile away. His grass is never cut, and his dog never stops barking.
Untill the zombies invade. rawr :P
Make every house enter able (about 12 or so).
Make every house the same, yet unique. (It is the perfect neighborhood)
Not making a unnecessarily dark map, but a realistically lit map. You know moon, street lights, porch lights, house lights.... that actually light.
Detail, and more detail. (This is the hardest part :P, especially with so many different households )

Well, think of it like this. Does your neighborhood look zombeish (if so then awesome :P)?

House #1 on the lot. Only about 25% done with it. Lighting is just....well for light at the moment. So far about... 10 hours into it. Few hours to get back into the gist of things. One key feature about this house... it has an alarm. So if any humans (or zombies) try to break in will have 5 seconds to disable the alarm, otherwise everyone in the neighborhood will know you are there!
There are currently 2 ways of entry, a door and a big window. There will be a backyard entrance too via sliding glass doors. Doors deal damage at the moment, only 1.
Don't mind the messy table, need to put table legs above ground.

Looks good so far but you might wanna do some more brushwork and try some new textures if possible (that white wall textures makes my epelepsi go mad)
I like the idea though

Ya, i know white is very....bright lol. Going to add some colors to the walls once i finish all the furniture and misc stuff. Probably going to make the daughters room pink, parents room a light blue, and the bathroom... I don't know. Kitchen/Dinning room will have that wood stretched all around. Counter tops are going to be a tile, wood cabinets below. Wood cabinets will go above the counter too. If i can figure it out, or someone could tell me.... I would like to put the pan weapon on the stove, but there is no weapon_fryingpan. Unless random_melee can be set to spawn only fryingpan.
Well I'm not going to get much time to work with Hammer today. I have to spend most of the day with my GF. O.o I guess that's not a bad thing? lol

Every house will have it's own special defense against zombies or vice versa. As I get ideas for the neighbhood I'll post them.
House #? : Rich couple, with no kids. They will have their own private wine cellar. Maybe while they were expanding their wine cellar they hit graves, and zombies started to come from the hole they dug. (Just an idea for how the Zombie's got there)
House #?: Single man, hunting enthusiast. Obviously where some of the good guns will be kept, but the won't be too easy to get. If I have my way, I'm going to make it so that this guy is still alive, because well...he's crazy gunman. The only way to get his stash is to keep him alive while he goes to open his cache for you. I plan on making his house near where zombies spawn.
