Well, It's untextures so far, wadfather is not working ATM so I don't have textures.

It's a graveyard with a crypt. The zombies will spawn from within the crypt.

Zombies could maybe also burst up from the graves - it would prevent spawncamping. (Also I hope it's going to be larger... :P)

Wow, that looks verynice so far. if u need textures i have some good hq textures, because i work on a map with the "same" style

What about the zombies-coming-out-of-the-graves bit? Possible in HL1? Or will it take HL2?

zombies could come out of graves, but it wouldnt look that great.
A zombie slowly coming though the ground in a stand tall position.
Ents cant be pushed though solid world brushes via trains.

Even better, use a modified animation of the zombie popping out of the vent in c1a4 (I think.)
THAT would be really cool.

Regarding the coming-out-of-the-ground: Perhaps a player-sized cavity can be hollowed out under each grave, and a func_breakable ground cover can be added over their head (with a func_ladder on the walls so they can clamber out).

Basically, the zombie would spawn and have to break out of the ground and climb out.

That said, lookin' snazzy bewse :)

that wouldnt look very believable :P
but good imagination none the less :)

The best way I think would be to have a func_train push the zombie though the ground, and have env_shooters shoot rock debris in the air around it to give the effect while also consealing the zombie somewhat so it doesnt look too unrealistic.

How about spawn the zombie in a closet and have them break out of that?

Seeing as it was done in HL itself a few times, I think that would be a nice method of spawning the first zombie.

If the default animation was made to appear as a climb and then this was executed it would look pretty darn good. With a trigger to set to make the zombie animation go to a more walking/zombie like one as it stands on ground would look good too. Would look similar to Neil Mankes "They Hunger" series too.
