when I go to this server I gotta download a ton of stuff and it takes very very long to download. So I'am just wondering if anyone can upload the necessary files to go into the server or something.

0wn3d Clan Hideout just got a webspace upgrade so most likly you will only see fast downloads from now on.

Wish I could, unfortunately not alot of servers to choose from LOL.

The custom junk aint too bad with me, I just have a problem with the zombie model/skins with the machete and the chainsaw, I often get tricked to think that the zombie is a human. They should at least take those models out, its cheating.

Yeah, those models are really annoying. I thought a guy using the Jason model was a survivor and somehow had a machete model instead of the crowbar.

Funny? Not at all. Its pathetic that players are forced to download unnecesary trivial ???? to play on the server. And yes yes I can always play on another server, but Owned is one of the only active ones so that point is moot. Thank god for last stand.

I add custom models to make the game more interesting and fun and guess what it works. 2 models "look like human models" but barely and if you do have a problem with them you can replace them with another model. Like i said before i got a 10GB bandwidth upgrade and each model downloads in 3 seconds at the most.

Models are not the problem mostly, as a good many of them enhance ZPs gameplay. Its the other stuff you have to DL.

No matter what server you go on you have to download maps and sounds, models and other stuff that goes with that map its not my fault. And The only custom files i added besides the models are a few sounds and 1 sprite and that doesnt seem like a big deal to me.

It's vanilla ZP, the way the mod is supposed to be played. Custom skins really don't add to 'uniqueness' because it's not at all OGMAHHTHATSIMPRESSIVE.

Once you download everything its fine but when people change their models when they already have one it can be anoying.

I think the right custom maps can make a game. Models just make it easier to find who you want to kill and keep targeting that person. I'm sure a lot of the models take work but it's kind of saying "hey zp team, since your game isn't good enough, we're going to add more models to make it less boring." Captrain Picard fighting zombies? Anime people fighting zombies? Santa fighting zombies? 10 minute or less download and it's true. Maybe 0wn3d has it's 0wn flavor, but for me I would rather have vanilla.
