A zombie panic series.

I'm a flash artist (hobbiest). I like to make... flash animations of course lol.

The concept of making a full fledged 4 minute animation for this game is...... Well this game is pretty aggrivating.

But I have been thinking of making a series of short zombie-panic comic-resembling clips.

Well It's ashame to say that I'm not submerged in the culture of this community. I've seen only 1 zombie panic flash in the past, though very good, it wasn't actually a zombie panic flash as it was a zombie themed flash dedicated to zombie panic.. Meaning it wasn't really what zombie panic is like.

So anything, i want input. What do you love about zombie panic? What ticks u off in zombie panic? whats something funny that happened to u ingame? Are there any fads in this community that I should know of? Are there any infamous people on zombie panic? What do you want to see in these clips? What DON'T you want to see in these clips?

Voice actors. My days in the past of using speech bubbles for text are OVER, and I'm more than qualified in syncing to use real non computer generate voices.

Depending on the comic I will need voice actors. It will vary, and I will try to use as many different people as possible

backrounds drawers. I can do it, but it will take awhile and not come out good. if u can draw good quickie backrounds, or even if u just have some cheap perspective skill that your confident with, it would help alot.

Perhaps I will compile them one day, and submit it to newgrounds.com. If it scores good enough, Zombie Panic.Org might even get a few more members.

But probably not. These clips will just be for fun. They will be using my classic "detailed" stickfigures. This http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/297209 is very old, but still the only thing I have posted online that I'm not ashamed of.

If I see interest in this project, I'll continue, and may start posting pictures, animation concepts, or potentially comics here as previews and storyboards to what I'll use and do to make the animations.

i'd love to see some zp flashes, but you'd actually have to start playing the game to find out what people hate and like(for example the map bridges, a lot of people hate it YET it still gets played)

I play it, and I understand alot of self explanatory things, but I don't know what is stereotypically hated in this game.

Personally I hate vent campers, ammo hoggers, weapon hoggers, the sheer pointlessness of the panic button, and most importantly, the crosshairs.

I like teamwork, unique maps, Bridges (in moderation), and crowbar rushes with 6+ people :D .

People seem to hate vent campers, idiots who don't know how to drop their unused ammo, bridges, and playing on maps that they don't know the location of every weapon...

Survivor with crowbar ready to swing. Voice com above his head. I fixed some of the items, they're more proportional to him. The backpack was made half the size, the pistol 1/3 less size, and the crowbar roughly 1/3 less size. The eyes were adjusted.

Like it? Don't like it? Give feedback as to your opinion. Tell me what u hate about it. Give me oh say, and idea of what you think the hair should look like. Be proactive, my opinion can't represent a community, and your statement gives off many many different tones to it.

Anyway, it's just the hair I used.. I just never been assed to make different hair so I prettymuch just take that 1 hair type and modify it according to the character I want to make. Eventually however, I will need to make new hair in my upcoming "Sleepless Death" series to come, as the animation also has females, and I'm not satisfied with my f hair mod.

Edit: I experimented with extremely game-accurate characters. I don't like it's outcome. I'll stick to a more cartoony look. It adds humor anyway

I'm going to start an animation. Depending on the type of response I get, I may or may not elaborate. I'm going ingame right now for a few hours to try to find an inspiration to a script.

In the meantime, you guys can post your own ideas for scripts if you want in this topic.

ok well what i ment was that i don't like the hair. it looks nothing like the zp survivors hair. i don't like his "i'm a badass" look either. he should have a more dumbfounded "i don't know wtf is going on" look or something. although maybe you can make different survivor types.

"Badass"?... hope you realise the poses of my character is nearly identical to a actual zp pose....

Modded a few features, particularly the hair. Completley new hairdue based on the zp survivors hairdue

Try to change the hair style for every model. It's OK to have the anime hair style for one guy, but when you have a mob of people running away from one zombie, it would be nice to see a helmet or a hat, perhaps a bald guy...

Things that I find entertaining in Zombie Panic--
-When someone drowns on Zpo_Quad17 because they picked up too much ammo in the under water armory.
-When nine survivors are running away from one zombie.
-When nine zombies are chasing one survivor.
-When ammo hogs run so slow they get eaten.
-When a survivor has to dodge all the empty guns from his dead team in order to not get caught by zombies. I've seen people try to go down a hallway with one zombie in it rather than the hallway where two shotguns, one magnum, and a host of empty handguns are scattered everywhere.
-When the last survivor blows himself and every single zombie on the map up with a satchel.
-When a guy with every gun and tons of ammo presses the panic button and runs away screaming.

Try to give a nod to the RP section of the website in your flash. It'll make a lot (Not many, really...) people happy.

I was trying to base it on the defualt zp model as much as possible.

But I do suppose your right, theres realistic symetry, then theres.... 10 guys with the same hair style (gets boring, even though ironically, without any server addons, thats EXACTLY what it's like XD)

Ahaha yeah I've seen that. That's hilarious. I don't know if I'll be able to do it though, as I've never animated a character underwater. I guess this is just the perfect opportunity to test my skill.

Great ideas, surprised I didn't think about them. I'll try to plan out a clip with these ideas in mind.

Now, I seem to have run into a little problem. In order to really get the accuracy of this game into a flash animation, I must get several screenshots of the game where the scenes take place. Flaw? Well I can't view a map without there being some people on the server, or without modding the map >_<.

I can't just play the game and get the screenshots, as I have to visualise my scenes as I take the screenshots, which is tedious to do when your fighting off zombies at the same time XD! Also, the map I need is of course not always up. On top of that, I may get a sudden burst of inspiration and think of another scene that I need screenshots on, and won't have that luxury.

What commands must I enter into console to allow me to run around the map on an empty server?

Well you could use spectator... Or you could ask someone nicely to help you... Make your own server and add a bot (Not sure how its done, ask around)...

We see 3 players, Elitiestsniper (He's new), Ion (Used since this was his idea), and r3sid3nt=pwnag3 (The greedy guy).

These 3 players are on the map Zpo_Quad17 on top of the elevator getting ready to go down to get equipment.

The scene is, pwnag3 is sleeping, Ion is talking to sniper, and sniper is listening.

Ion: Yo snipe, you ever play this map?

sniper: no why.

Ion: Okay, what we're gonna do is go down this elevator and go into the water, open the door, and get guns.

sniper: ok.

Ion: snipe, do NOT pick up too much ammo. But if you do, drop it. You have that bound?

sniper: alright.

Ion: Show me

*sniper drops his pistol then 1 pistol clip*

Ion: ok cool.

*pwnag3 wakes up*

pwnag3: 100 hp.

Ion: ok cool. remember don't pick up too much stuff

pwnag3: I know you noob.

Ion: Just making sure man, most people don't play this map alot.

pwnag3: shut the **** up and press the elevator button noob.

Ion: You realize that friendly fire is practically non-existent in ZP, right? That ammo is ammo that won't be used to put down a zombie.

Ion: I think he muted us...

Ion: The majestic beauty of being muted by someone... It's like having a little slice of paradise accessible from your mic and keyboard. You can insult them all you want and everyone in the server except for that person hears it.

Ion: Too bad the poor noob muted us... Maybe he will find solace with breathing water for a while. Ahahaha!

--You may want to find real names from other players. They'd love to be able to be an ammo hogging noob or a new player, and may actually do voice acting for the parts. Maybe you could use the name "Pete13" for the noob that drowns at the end.

My mic is having some 'issues' right now *Cough*BROKEN*Cough*. I wouldn't be offended if anyone else voice acted for me. Just ask for volunteers in off topic or whatnot.

Just an idea! Whenever I go down the elevator on Quad_17, a zombie almost always falls down the elevator shaft and eats someone. It might be funny to add in a spot where a zombie falls from above and crushes a fourth person that is on the elevator, but everyone keeps talking as if nothing happened.

Don't be bound in production by any names, voices, or ideas, however. Change if one idea stops working or isn't really entertaining.

I'm going to have to insist on urging the hell out of u to get a mic and voiceact them. the quality doesn't matter as most people ingame have anus mics. Go out within the next 5 days and buy a cheap 6 dollar mic.

Comment on the looks of the guy. His look just doesn't seem... right yet. A survivor in ZP has this 'what the hell am I doing here?' look on his face...

Open those eyes more! Zombies are chasing you man, adrenaline is pumping through your veins! I wouldn't be standing there looking all Arnold Schwarzenegger when a bunch of zombies are closing in and all I have is a silly crowbar.

Also tilt those eyebrows a little upwards in a more docile/scared emotion.


Just a suggestion of course ;)

Also, I fully support this flash project and would like to donate some screams if necessary. Or a hillbilly character. Or a zombie. Or a neutered dog with three legs that doesn't know his name anymore... You name it.

I don't care what program you use, as long as the file that I get is either an MP3, or a WAV. (go from Start, programs, accessories, entertainment, sound recorder. Thats the one windows comes with... assuming you have windows. It works just fine.)

Something I should let you know, I may get all "animatory" with u, getting tough or soft, having massive moodswings on u as if you were a voiceactor I'm collaberating with lol. so just bear with me, its how I get with voiceactors sometimes XD
