Non-secure server

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone could make a non-VAC-secure server please? My account got banned while my brother downloaded hacks. Thanks.

I'm not too sure how to make a server insecure... its secure by default i think. If you host a server it will most likely be insecure, so try that.

If indeed your brother did do it, just pump his for money and get a new half life game. I apologise for the community if we seem hostile, but we have had to deal with our fair share of hackers, and with the zp community as close as it is, it hurts everyone when someone cheats.

I think that is a shortcut command? Something you add next to the end of a shortcut to get certain options on or off. Am I right nieko?

Oh I wasn't planning on making a server or anything, I was just going to get a new name...if my dad lets me...

well to get a new name I am pretty sure you have to buy a new product that uses steam, you will also have to buy a new game for each product you have registered with your previous account.

I'll probably buy Half-Life on Steam, and then download Zombie Panic from there. I will probably just end up using my banned account for Counter Strike.

The {S.M.C.} server hosted by me has no VAC activated; one of my clanmates has the same problem as you have. If you do not live in Europe, the ping will be high, though, as this is a server hosted in Northern Sweden.

I almost never see any hackers around in ZP. And yes, the ones who cheat can dodge VAC anyway.

Well, just because it seems like someone isnt hacking, doesnt mean they arent. They could be using an aimbot or a wall hack w/o you knowing,

What server'd you play in? And by hacking do you mean like noticable speed hacking, or just a suspicion?

Cause I play in AA server and sometimes Pwn of the dead around 8am(Eastern US time) and i never have a suspicion of anyone hacking. Also since i started playing i havent seen anyone speedhack or anything like that.

Last time i saw a hacker on zp was last summer i think, was the leaders of the Stars clan. Most of the people in Stars clan were not very much liked because of them, even though it wasnt them hacking, they were still hated for being in a clan that the leader hacked in.

Last time I noticed someone hacking was around 6 months ago. And before that, it was a year ago or longer.

Actually, most of the members of stars did hack, and they treated other forumers here really poorly. Many were banned because of it. I suppose I should play more often to see how much it has changed.

I believe all the hackers have been banned from most of the servers. Even if there is still hackers out there, the speed hackers will most likely be reported to admins of the servers, and aimbotters and wallhackers can still be easily pwned by a zombie. Considering that the zombie is not a noob.

Was the server in Sweden added recently? I just checked a few days ago and it didn't show any servers being non-secure.

Hey guys, I found a couple servers that are non-secure, but no one plays in them. Do any of you mind playing in them for just an hour? I want to try out the game.

Sometimes whenever servers crash, they start up un-secure, not sure why.

Nate, I do not host it all the time; I also host an Opposing Force server sometimes, and I will perhaps start hosting an Adrenaline Gamer server sometime soon aswell.

Most of the days I think I will keep it up, however, but I cannot guarantee anything.

OK, I'm checking the servers now, just to see if there is anyone in the games I found. Yesterday I actually got to play the game and it's really fun. So I'll check if your server is up. Where is it hosted from?

I just checked, and there are about three servers that are non-secure: a DtD server, a bloodriot server, and a {SMC} server. Those are the only ones I see, so I hope people will join so I can play again. :)

I'm hosting it myself on one of my computers, in Sweden (the S.M.C. server). And yes, it is indeed fun.
