how am i to do this console comand if i cannot play the game? can i open the ZP map when i convert it into HL2dm and run buildcubemaps?
I need some help... Im almost done with the final version but i need to know how to build cube maps for a game i dont yet obtain. (or never obtain)

What ZP entities do you have in it?
I think you can just load it as a deathmatch map and run buildcubemaps... sure it will complain about all the unknown entities, but as far as I know it will work fine. Edit: the cubemaps, that is.

but in order to load the map you would need a hl2 dm spawn, which would make it have errors in the ZP version...
Oh well, ill just get the beta testers to do it before they start to lan it :S

I don't think you would get an error, and I think you can load it up in hl2dm without any player spawns.
