Not much to say, I'm making a Zombie Panic: Source map based on Ravenholm, and if anyone had doubts, yes, from scratch.

So... one screenshot for now.

I won't make it exactly like the original, but I'm using some parts as a base.

Looking good, though I think it could be a bit darker. Also, comparision shot from HL2?

Not bad though I agree with brute_force it could stand to be a touch darker. Nice to see a fellow NS mapper working on a Zombie Panic map.

The original is WAAAAAAY darker (attached), I think the brightness is ok, it's not really dark, but it isn't bright either...

Well, dark is good in ZP, so use it. Hiding in the shadows is a good thing.

Mendasp I think you could get away with making it slightly darker. Its looking ever so slightly washed out at that level of brightness.

Looking good Mendasp, I think you should make the interiors different to the original however. I can imagine them being fairly empty and boring without all the zombies to kill.

Wow, looking really good Mendasp, but the rope attached to the legs looks a little odd... by looking at the top, it looks as though you painted that in with paint or something.. :P

Btw, where are those grass models located? they're not in prop_foliage...

Those are sprites (detail props) and they are put automatically when compiling with detail.vbsp, it's in the SDK documentation - Prop types.

ravenholm and nova prosepect were the best parts of hl2. RAvenholm was my personal fav. Between the crazy man, easter egg of face on a wall, screeming fast zombies, torchured bodies, and headcrab galoor zombie (posion gonome). Good work maybe a hl2dm version ;)

One of the greatest effects of ravenholm was when the zombies were climbing up the gutters. Very well done, gave me chills. And dont get me started on the Gonomes, got poisoned by those suckers more times than I care to count. Its also not easy to kill them with a crowbar only.... :ph34r:

I remember the first time I saw a poison zombie. At first, I'm like, "Oh, okay, a Gonome. I remember these. No problem." Then I see it throw something at me. Again, "Thats right, they throw those little grenade things from their chest." But no. The little ~~~~~~~ threw a headcrab. A ****ING HEADCRAB!

I'd leave out the hanging legs. More shadows would be nice as well. you need somewhere to lurk as a zombie. That courtyard would be quite vulnerable for them.
