Announcing Donor Status!

Zombie Panic! Fans:

Because so many people help contribute to make Zombie Panic what it is today, we wanted to present those people in a way that most ZPS fans would see and recognize. The easiest way to do this is to make them noticeable in-game somehow.

The way we decided to do this was with borders around people's in-game avatars, as shown here:

The blue and red borders are for the people who physically make the game. For those who donate in other ways (Hosting our website or other services, donating talent, or donating money), we award a green border.

Would you like to share in this status? Want in-game recognition for your generosity? Starting now, you should see three new buttons to donate. Donating gets you a green border in-game, a forum status of "Donor", and special recognition on the main website, under the "Donor" page. When you fill these forms out, be sure to include your SteamID and forum username. If for any reason you would rather not have a border around your avatar, just leave out your SteamID and add a note stating such.

The durations are as follows:
http://www.zombiepanic.org/site/interface/donate_2months.png: $10 US, for 2 months of Donor status.

http://www.zombiepanic.org/site/interface/donate_6months.png: $20 US, for 6 months of Donor status.

http://www.zombiepanic.org/site/interface/donate_zplifer.png: $50 US, for permanent Donor status.

To Donate and become a "Donor" click on the "Donors" tab on the front page (http://www.zombiepanic.org/).

All donations go directly towards the development of Zombie Panic! Source, or will fund contests that we will be doing more regularly. No funds will be used for personal gain of any kind.

If you donated in past we greatly appreciate it but this whole system starts now and you'll have to donate again (if you want borders and donor status). You don't have to though, this is just our new way of rewarding people that donate and we can't keep track of old donations because we've switched paypal accounts etc etc. Easier to start fresh :).

SO lemme get this staight you pay donor what you get back or like i mean what happens when you donor besides a ty or i mean im not sure. ALl i know you get is the special avatar thing is that all. Im not getting greedy so.

As a donor you get your name listed on the donor page either under the months you're eligible for or under the ZP Lifer list if you donate $50 (which makes you a permanent donor with no need to donate ever again if you decide you don't want to). You also get labeled "Donor" on forums (recognition as a supporter of the mod) as well as a green border around your in-game avatar. All of this is explained on front page and under donor page.

For right now there are no other benefits and we're not begging or ordering anyone to donate. If you'd like to help it is very much appreciated and this is our way of showing it. Donations keep the site and forums up and every year a large chunk of cash has come from our pockets (meaning if we have to we can deal with it on our own and would never give you guys an ultimatum). If we don't receive donations, this will not stop us from keeping things running so we don't want you to feel obligated to do anything. We're also hoping after dealing with our ZP finances, to hold more "Competitions" like our Level Design Competition and Costume Contest.

Again no one is obligated to participate :)
