Well This is actually a late release i made this a thew days ago, my self and slayer sarge have been using it to get used to and i think it deserves abit of attention seeing as theres no real player skins around.

Its a hacked and re textured model.
note: there are sleeves aswell

No in game shots atm.

Doesn't look like a Marine at all, and he's wearing vintage surplus.

However... it looks very cool. I like it. Take away the helmet, and he'd look like a militia member which would be equally cool.

Forest camo was implemented in Vietnam if I recall correctly, and used till not too long ago so its not super vintage. I am not even sure if its been totally phased out. In a zombie situation soldiers would have the new urban digi camo since it would be such an urban environ. Yeah I know zombies dont care about camo, but there would be plenty of nut jobs that would shoot at the troops, so the troops would still follow battle dress rules, if not for that but for regulation.

The entire ZPS Dev team has been in one military unit or another at some point in time.

I just requested it to look like that, the helmet makes him look a lot cooler, the camo I just used because it's more like the standard kind of army camo, since it's been around for so long, and besides this is a zombie apocolypse that just happened, so all this soldier could do was throw on his regular bdu with no extra equipment but a helmet, but I love it and I really wish there was an extra soldier model for ZPS

I myself think that it would look much better with rolled up sleeves

this is because long sleeves doesn't fit with the open shirt, its like untidy and then neat, if shirts open have his sleeves rolled up.

That's woodland camo, and it's M81, you can tell by the pattern of the black haze. You're probably talking about leafpat. I was refering to the pot helmet.

Woodland! thats the word I was looking for, lol. I was too lazy to get up and grab my book on military uniforms hehe.

Yea... Vietnam applied "Leaf Pattern," which was similar to Woodland. Then early 80's Woodland became the camo of the day.

This was off-topic, but hey. I only know stuff about a couple of topics, I may as well ramble when the chance comes up!

Hah my thoughts exactly, and its not like its that far off topic since we are still technically talking about the texture on he model, just going way into depth :P

It reminds me of the kid from back in High School that always wore military uniforms and talked about guns to whoever was next to him. :/

The new uniforms would be used in deserts (that is where all these terriosts are ya know) But these old "Vintage" ones we're used in woodland area, where the war took place, which now makes these "Vintage" uniforms. Obsolete.

The UK (Nor Russia) uses Woodland M81. You use DisPat (Disruptive Pattern)

Could you make a mirror please? I can't dl it, because of our local proxy (in Russia).

Woodland is a specific name. It refers to M81. Disruptive Pattern is not woodland, despite being only subtle differences.

While I'm sure some claim it to be "woodland" simply because it looks similar, it's not.

It's commonly, incorrectly, referred to as "Woodland DP" in the 95 model. But in fact, the camouflage is simply "DPM-95"

Yar, digicam is just a slang that I picked up somewhere for it. Someone coined it since its so pixxilated.

It's been said they discovered it when they zoomed too far into a picture. When they cropped and enlarged the distorted image and lay it across the same picture at normal size, they figured out it was a surprisingly effective camouflage.

Having an off-topic discussion with a developer who clearly knows stuff about it, too.

So why don't you run along. Adults are talking.

Hmm I think this is pretty cool, but there should be another version without the helmet to make it look more realistic and/or ex-marineish. :D
