This is my first guide, I am open to debate on weapons. However as much as I love being flamed out of my mind I really don't
PISTOLS
Unless you join late you will have either a glock (18c or 17) or a USP and an extra 10 ammo for the any pistols. DO NOT DROP THIS, the ammo and pistol may slow you down a little but not too much. People who drop everything in the hope that a good gun will have spawned where they think it has are usually the first one to die. I will now rate all of them indiviually.
Glock (18c/17)
Rate Of Fire: Medium Slow
Damage: Medium
Ammo in Clip: Medium High (17)
USP
Rate Of Fire: Medium
Damage Medium
Ammo in Clip Medium (15)
PPK
Rate Of Fire: Medium High
Damage: Medium
Ammo in Clip: Poor (7)
Notes on Pistols.
The PPK is your most odd pistol. It has 7 bullets in a clip therefore not making it terribly useful for shakey hands (like me usually) or newbies. If you are experienced and want a challenge use this pistol, and aim all for the head, hopefully this should kill off that zombie. If you miss however switch to your primary weapon and panic this should give you a boost of speed to get some distance before you turn around and slot it with your primary weapon. Never disrigard a pistol as a 'Bad' gun, they are light and they can be very powerful if you aim for the head. Many a time have I been stuck in my barricades with a rifle and a pistol and found the pistol was most useful for sniping and even when they over ran the barricades. PISTOLS ARE VERY USEFUL BUT YOU MUST AIM FOR THE HEAD TO GET MAXIMUM USAGE OUT OF THEM! Pistols get a 6/10
SHOTGUNS
Shotguns are an okay weapon but it does depend which one you get. The lighter more rubbish Super Shorty has got its issues. I will go straight onto the ranking
Remmy
Rate Of Fire: Poor (as to be expected with a shotty)
Damage: High (even higher if you aim for the head)
Ammo In Clip: Poor (6) (although great for a shotgun)
Super Shorty
Rate OF Fire: Poor (see above)
Damage: High (see above)
Ammo In Clip: EPIC FAIL (3)
Notes On Shotties. The Super Shorty is the only weapon I am dissapointed to find. The availability of shotty ammo on most maps make the shotties generally good but the 3 shells in a clip? This means all 3 of these shots will have to go through a average zombies chest to even kill it, 2 for the head (which is actually difficult) and 2 if the Zombies in eating distance. The Remmy is a very good gun, it is vastly supieror to the Shorty as it has a much higher ammo in clip, this allows it to be fire 3 times to the chest of a Zombie and leaves room for missing. Aiming for the head is really good to do as it kills most zombies in 2 shots. TIP FOR SHOTTIES: Use a pistol on a zombie if it is down a corridoor, fire a couple of shots for the head then switch to your shotty (either will do) and shoot him once or twice in the chest to kill him (once in the head). Remmy Rating 7/10 Super Shorty Rating 2/10
I will Be Writing soon about Rifles, Grenades and Melee weapons.
