This is a map I started working on a long time ago but never really finished. Recently I started working on it a little bit again and decided I will finish it this time, just to get it out of the way.

Basically it's an old western ghost-town that is haunted. There is a saloon, a church, a bank, a few random buildings, and a bunch of broken buildings that were never finished.

Here is a test version you can download and play, it's fully working, but not finished.

So BoB Dolen my #1 tester, please give me feedback, and any others that want to test it.

This one actually looks pretty creepy! Is that church tilting? :O

lol no it's not tilting it's just the perspective from where i took the screenshot, i was crouching.

but that's a cool idea, maybe ill make one of the buildings tilt or something when you enter in it, i wonder how you could do that.

I try it yesterday on a server and the animations where great and every detail made was outstanding. !! :) just a little too huge, people could get on a mountain of sand and zombies couldent get to them overwise very nice map : )

i'll put a player clip around the mountains for they can't climb on them..

but i don't understand why people say it's too huge? it's actually not that big.

maybe the fog makes it seems bigger than it is, because you can't see very far?

should i keep the fog or get rid of it?

i think you should test it without the fog. soo you can see where the god damm flesh eating pigs are !!!

it's not really that big.

how do you think i can make it smaller? should i move the mountains/map boundaries closer to the buildings, or should i actually move the buildings closer in too?

your right, but i remenber one guy when we where testing it on the server. He sayd
{ everybody to the bank} and people where like wheres the bank!? and they where at the church and coulded find it :)

maybe it's the fog then... cause you can't really see the bank if you are on the main street

Ok here's an updated version I've been working on if anyone wants to test it out

What's new:
- Level is now fully optimized and should no longer lag.
- Fog isn't as thick now and it's easier to see.
- Entire map is a little bit smaller.
- Fixed it for humans can't climb on top of the mountains and camp there now.
- Added a blacksmith, stables, and a whore house.
- Added custom signs and textures.
- Added more hauntings.
- Added more special effects.
- There is now gold bars in the bank.
- There are more weapons and ammo in the map now.
- Added a new building that can be broken into.
- Fixed the 3d skybox texture.
- Made it harder for humans to get on top of the wooden frame building and camp there.
- Added water troughs that horses would have been drinking from.
- Fixed up misc. brushwork.

Really cool map man..I like that it's so dark so I wouldn't change that.

I had a chance to test this, and I must say, some of the triggers are brilliant! I like the western feel of the map, but you've ripped things directly from Fistful of Frags. Did you get permission for that? Other than that, nice map.

a lot of the triggers i made were inspired by the movie "poltergeist"

i think ZPS needs more scary maps so i'm trying to do that. truth is i'm not a great mapper, but i'm good at giving maps very scary elements like this
