Zombie strategy, for me, boils down into three phases so here is the opinion i've formed so far.

Phase 1 - EarlyGame
In the earlygame, you'll likely be outnumbered and this is where you might get pwned. An organised team of the unconverted will take down one of two of our brethren in seconds, and can repeat the process many times.
In the early game, small teams will likely be hunting for weapons and ammo so there is a good chance of getting the drop on one or two guys. Ideally you want to get the kill, but don't be afraid to wound and send them running - you'll regenerate faster and we're in this for the long game, folks. If you hear the tell-tale click-click-click then a quick lunge is usually worth it.

Ambushes.
When lurking, don't shamble after the first guy to walk through the door. He'll move faster than you and his backup buddy will have you point blank in his gunsight. When the first guy comes in, thats you cue to jump on the second guy. He'll have less eyes/guns watching him AND you know exactly when and where hes' going to be standing before he has seen you.

Phase 2 - Midgame
Midgame you want to hunt in packs. If you can soak up all their ammo long-range and regenerate then you can close in for an easy meal. During the midgame I've found people move around in the largest group they can, but you'll still find smaller teams and supply runners.
An organised midgame team is most dangerous, because they are strong in numbers, have plenty of ammo and good morale.
If you have to rush a small team then pay attention to your fellow brethren. If you all shamble together in plain sight then the humans will be able to make tactical decisions - Have a decoy make first contact and see if they can be drawn out from their position. They don't need to know how many of you there are until its too late.

The Decoy Lunge.
A good lunge attack will cause as much fear as possible. The leader of a pack should lunge as soon as the attack starts while the rest of the pack shamble forward. The lunger will soak up a lot of attention before he falls allowing the rest of the pack to gain ground and/or get around behind the enemy. Don't be too afraid to lurk until the leader returns - he may respawn in a position to come up behind the tasty morsels. A decoy is all about gaining a better tactical position, or starting a pincer movement.
If the leader does get to close range, then its a good sign they have weak weapons and its probably worth mobbing.

The Funeral March.
A traditional shamble is the best start to an offense. Most weapons are poor at long range, and the slow advance of the Funeral March can soak up a lot of ammo. Hold the line and don't present a single target. The idea here is to divide their fire - its just attrition - and be prepared to back off to regenerate.
If they retreat, then hang back and regenerate as required before following.
If they rush forward for better effective weapons range then Lunge. Pincer movements are good here.
If its a stand off, just hold back. Experienced/Organised players won't waste ammo. Send a couple of pack members to circle behind them to flush them out.

Phase 3 - Endgame.
During the Endgame, you outnumber the meatsacks and its only a matter of time.
Pre-Swarm you can afford to divide your forces and cover a lot of ground. Just remember to run towards a fight when it breaks out - you can catch somebody unawares.

Don't swarm too early, because a grenade and a few good guns can cause heavy casulties. A good swarm tries to block of the exits FIRST. After that the meal is assured. You want the humans to be scared and desperate before the endgame

Once you've got them on the run, its time to swarm. They probably be camped up in a small room somewhere so once you've found them set escape route ambushes and gather the swarm. Once everybody is ready then its time to eat. You might have to send in a couple of pioneers to see what happens, its a good way to make sure there are no grenades. You are attempting to overrun the enemy here, and as long as ammo is low a single-wave swarm will work. If you have fallen and get back to the swarm quick enough then join in. If you don't get there in time then hold back and prepare a second swarm - there is no point queuing up to get shot in the head one-by-one, and a distant lurking zombie might cause them to lose their cool and rush out of cover.

Thats my first impressions. Any advice that might help me?
