First off let me say congratulations at making such an awesome zombie mod! I've been waiting so long for a game like this! I honestly don't know why it has taken this long to make a team based zombie mod/game that's actually good, but you guys did it and did a good job at it.
Decomposition Timer
One idea I had was a sort of decomposition timer for zombies. This would help end stalemates by forcing zombies to attack.
What the timer would do is last, oh say, 3-5 minutes, you'd need some game play testing to get the right number, when the timer runs out you can have two options of what you would want to happen as I can see it.
A: Zombies slowly start to loose life
B: Zombies loose the ability to regen health
I personally like B better, it's doesnt force the person into rushing exactly and gives them a good amount of time to do some attacking and still get health back.
You could also make the amount of time random suggesting zombies that have been around longer. (see next idea for further examples)
Zombie Variation
Of course you should have different models/skins of zombies, but zombies with different stats would be great. Right now you have The Carrier and normal zombies. Carrier is faster with more health. Well instead of having a single carrier maybe you should make people spawn as random zombies, some with carrier speed, but they have 125 health, or zombies with extra long lunge ability, or tank zombies with 300 heath but are very slow. You would most likely want all this distributed somewhat random, such as every 10 zombies is a tank zombie, im sure coders can find a way to make it a good randomizing system.
Suggestion for fixing blocking.
I read in a previous post that you guys didn't want humans with the ability to walk through each other. Well what if you made the collision mesh skinnier, giving humans the ability to have two people pass through a doorway instead of one, you could make it so only humans have this to give them an advantage or make it so zombies can pass two by twos as well.
Head shot kills
It would be cool if zombies would go down with 1 clean head shot, or maybe even giving them a small hit box in the forehead (like umbrella chronicles if you have played that on the Wii) to make head shots harder and less likely. If they were too easy to achieve you could add weapon deviation, but that might just make things over complicated.
Some other things I'm curious about is if there will be new texture for zombies and humans, or at least new faces? I'm sure you have texture artists at work on this already, but in case you don't you should.
