I just got ZMS today... the first time i started it the screen went black... i figured it was just cus of the resolution change to 640x480 and was a bit bugged cus of this so i clicked on my second monitor's desktop and it minimized... then clicked it back up and it played fine.
next time i tried to play afew hours later... my pc had been restarted since... i ran it and it didnt work the first time... hl2.exe stopped working... i tried again and it worked but w/ the same problem as the first time.
i try to start it again and it wont... hl2.exe keeps failing or somthing. i'm a moder myself and know how source startups and menus and stuff works... i noticed there was a small script that tells the game to play an avi on startup in the media folder... there was other stuff there too that didnt seem important so i thought if i deleted the script that led to a non existent avi file maybe it will stop crashing. it changed nothing.
i will keep trying stuff like re-re-installing and messing w/ startup scripts and restarting my pc.
i will post if i have any luck.
just so everyone is clear... i have a 8600gts, 2gb of ram and a core2 duo... nuff said. i can run ALL other source games on full graphical settings w/ atleast 200fps... my drivers in all my hardware are up to date. just so everyone is clear that it is not a driver issue. (no i'm not bragging i'm just sick of n00bs saying drivers are out of date or i dont have a good enough pc before they know my specs).
