View Full Version : Zombie Brain Damage

A feature i would like to see added is Permanent zombie brain damage.
all too many times when the humans camp i have seen zombies take turns running in then out eating up survivors ammo then regenerating all the health they lost a few moments.
this leads to survivors loosing all their ammo without much if risk to the zombie players, what i would like to see is zombie brain damage where when a zombie takes damage anywhere on the body it regenerates totally as normal.
but damage when done to the head does not regenerate (or only regenerate a percentage of the damage dealt)
i think it would add a small bit of fear for zombies who rush in then out (other then when head shots are fixed) and would actually make the ammo you have a bit more useful and valuable as a survivor.
with lag, hitboxes, and hit registration of source it would not be a very large negative effect for zombies.

this is not about anti regen but more about damage thats done to the brain of a zombie does not regen or does not regen totally.

This is why people need to conserve their ammo until they're really being attacked. All to often, I'll see someone shooting down a long hallway, or even just trying to attack zombies who briefly pass in-front of a door. I always know those are the people pretty quick to die.

And if they dont shoot, the zombies rush them because they're not damaged at all?
I like this idea.

Wait until you see the white of their eyes. Then, wait about one more second, and pump them full of lead. Don't stop shooting until he is dead. And if he isn't dead, make sure he dies.
Needless to say, focus on one target at a time.

Sounds like a great idea.

this is interesting, but if this were combined with increased damage via headshots, it would make the game very unbalanced against the zombies.

Not a bad idea at all. Though it could have some balancing issues.

as i said in my original post with hit registration, lag, and hitboxes in general this would be a balanced feature and should not unbalance the game at all if anything it would balance it a good bit more.
a guy can unload a entire mag from his pistol and maybe only get 1-3 of those 7 shots to the zombies head that register witch 2 shots * 7 damage * 2x headshot damage = 28.
witch is not much being the fact that zombies normally have 200 health also as i said in my original post you can only make a percentage of the head damage permanent if you want to balance it.
