View Full Version : Frame rate issues and Map Glitches

I've noticed some things regarding some or the majority of ZPS maps, most have Frame rate problems. For example, I was playing on ZPS town a few hours ago on a british server, my Frame rate out doors was around 10-7 FPS while indoors was a moderate 20-30 FPS. I think there may be some issues with frame rates on some maps.

And for the second one is the map glitches, understandably that Humans are never ones to survive often and that Zombies win the majority of time but the one thing I can't stand is a glitchy map that people exploit. I can deal with Camping as that at least gives the zombies a chance to kill them, but when somebody uses a map glitch to win I find that a little shallow, making it impossible for the Zombies to win.

Again on the map, zps_town in the kitchen, one guy actually managed to put a shelf unit in between the freezer door making it impossible to get to him as anyone who remotely touches the door, Zombies or survivors dies from the spasming shelf unit.

Another example I noticed is in some maps, people seem to be able to merge with static objects making their arms or heads poke out of the surface a little bit. This makes it impossible to hit them as we just hit what prop their hiding in.

I can confirm that the kitchen bug is used quite a lot.

there are several map exploits that need to be fixed including that kitchen bug.

a survivor can get on the support beams in the wherehouse which can make it hard for zombies to win to get to the survivor.

This restroom door in this map can be exploited and jammed by a survivor causing the game to slow and make it hard for zombies to win.

Griefers can block this gate from opening and cause the game to slow down until he is killed by a zombie.

Sometimes this door can be bugged so that it does not open and make it hard for zombies to get at any survivors inside besides going in the vent on the room inside.

This is not necessarily an exploit but it is something that should be fixed considering this is the only zombie spawn point and can be camped, suggestions would be to add multiple spawn points for zombies in proximity to this point.

This is the window outside of the zombie spawn upstairs, people will get on the side ledges and walk carefully around the house this slows down the game and make it hard for zombies to win. This exploit is a exploited on most games on this map.

this is outside in the park/playground area, people can get onto the fence and then onto the tree and make it very hard for zombies to kill them and thus slow down the game.

this is the kitchen where people can jump on top of the freezer and make it hard for zombies to kill them or impossible if the carts are moved away.

this is the window outside the hotel and the kitchen/diner where inside is a zombie spawn point, this is not necessarily a bug but a server with a long win time for survivors or an afk zombie can cause the game to take forever.

on unrelated issues, everytime i quit zombie panic HL2 says it crashed with the offending file being studiorender something.
