Does anyone know any good games that run pretty well if you have a faster processor and an incredibly crappy graphics card?

Well, it would have a GeForce 2 64 mb, but it apparently doesn't want to work with that.
The computer's a:
1 GHz,
512 mb RAM,
and the brand is a Gateway (Thats why the other card doesn't work, apparently Gateway's are picky, as told to me by my brother.)

If this affects anything, it has two 20 gig harddrives.

-Edit- I'm already looking for a better graphics card, my bro put this one together, and he put the 3D Rage in there so it would actually run, he didn't think it would be needed to be used for a gaming computer, because I recently got a console. You understand?

My laptop I got for free has a 32 mb video card in it.

My 8 year old dell has a 32mb video card.

You can buy a 128mb video card for 50 bucks. They aren't expensive anymore. Before they used to cost 200 bucks. Now, there is stuff which is so much better.

SuperNintendo has 32bit graphics ...

The Super Nintendo "SNES" had 16bit graphics.

I can find a 128 mb video card for less than $30. :P

Donkey Kong Country had 32bit graphics, so did Earthbound and a few other games which is why Genesis but out the 32X.

Ok, two types: Action and RPG. Heh.

-Edit- Offtopic: Does lordLoss use the same name for X-Fire?

FFTactics is a good one, they also remade FF1 for GBA and added some stuff, but I haven't actually played it so I'm not exactly sure what. The megaman battle network series I found was actually pretty fun. Metroid Fuzion is pretty good too.

As for LL, I'm not sure. Just add him and find out. I don't use X-Fire because I just don't get it.

I agree with Cheese. FF Tactics is awesome, also the FF1 and 2 remakes were ok, probably worth it if u can get em cheap and u like RPG games. Also, as Cheese said, Metroid Fusion is AWESOME. Anyways, thats about it. :ninja:

only problem I had with emulators - your keyboard only accepts 4 keys pressed at once. So i found certain things like switching to rockets and shooting diagonally a bit difficult at times. But if you use a gamepad you can actually get passed this.

Judging by your ancient graphics card, i doubt your processor is "good" by today's standards lol.

describe decent. With today's processors running into the 2-3ghz as standard, 1ghz is actually on the economy end.

I'm used to computers that aren't up to the so-called "today's standards."
But you've got to admit, this is a huge step up from the old 350 MHz we had before.:D
