I really only like RE4, but I like the themes of the first RE and second RE game a lot better (zombies/locations). I'd really only play the first few RE games if they had gameplay and other things like RE4.

One fan right here, currently going old school and playing Resident Evil 1 on my psp :laugh: Resident evil 4 is killer though, played it on both gamecube and playstation2.

Resident Evil FTW. RE GC was the best. Personally I think 0 was to much of a rehash of the first. Ive played all but Veronica, cuase it's so hard to find.

I was never the biggest fan of the Resident Evil games, while I admit they were good games it just took to long to find where you were supposed to go to find key ____ and the run back through the 10 rooms to get back to the door. I would get bored after a while of being unsure as to where I was meant to go, and game fatigue set in after running through the same set of rooms 5 times. I LOVED RE 4 however, do to the fact that the combat kept my interest, and the gun editing kept combat interesting. Can't wait for the next one, especially on my Wii :D

That's what they say but they started hyping it like 2 years ago. And saying they are the "first zombie mod" etc.
But I don't like the whole competing between the zombie mods, we have nothing incommon except for the zombies basically.

RE 1/2 were pretty good, if you remember there was a map feature.......to show you where keys were supposed to be used/etc. I think the later games gave more intuitive map info, but even the 1st game was ok because it was pretty linear, and the keys had descriptive names and such.

Left4dead looks awesome, but that's probably because it's a sponsored mod.......it being on the steam website and all. NMRiH looks like Night of the Living Dead to me.

3rd person shooters are pretty cool to me, and I think that if RE games would have all been made 1st person it would have made more backgrounds for the designers to draw, so you could see in all directions. Probably just a design path used by the devs. to save time/money.

P.S. The game that CAN be switched from 1st/3rd person(for firing) is Dead Aim for PS2.

I prefer the PC over consoles, so I doubt I will buy any console. Plus the games are very expensive for the new consoles compared to the PC. It probably looks nice with good graphics, though.

Resident Evil 2 over or directly under Resident Evil 4. I loved going through the city and all of the sudden seeing zomibes chewing on a corpse and their lifelessness shuffling towards me. I love the RPD building's eerie, suspenseful music.

I wish RE games was more like RE4. I want to fight zombies, not weird, Spanish people RE4 style. Well, that's what Resident Evil coming out only for the Wii is for! Yeah! :P :D :smile:
