At the start of almost every round i see this happen:
The game starts. All survivors immediately drop their pistols, either thinking them useless or wanting to run that little bit faster to get a good gun. At least two run straight into the arms of the starter zombie and die, then promptly say things like "WTF!" or "OMG!" and reconnect.
DO NOT DROP YOUR PISTOL!
It is one of the best guns, it is light, you can carry loads of ammo, and you start with it. Even if you pick up an M4 or shotgun, DO NOT DROP IT. Drop your spare ammo, anything else, But not the pistol. Another little story:
The last survivor is fighting courageously against a hoarde of zombies. he is running low on m4 ammo and he dropped his pistol earlier. <click!> his rifle is empty, and only one zombie remains. As the zombie runs, jumps, and kills him, all he can think is: "If only i hadn't dropped my pistol!"
In case you haven't got it yet: NEVER EVER EVER DROP YOUR PISTOL!!!!!
