A Barney floats atop a river of a hazardous waste, which is at the bottom of a VERY long fall. Above him is a platform. Okay, this is where you come in, guys. Post what YOU think happened to this Barney in Black Mesa. Here, I'll do an example.

"Barney, coughing slightly, peered over into the green abyss below him. His hand was clutched over a chest wound. Reloading his handgun, a sonic blast coming from directly behind him startled him, and then he heard nothing. He had gone deaf. Screaming, he tripped over his feet, and fell over the railing, the only barrier between him and the hazardous waste that lay far below him. His scream became fainter and fainter as he plunged further and further down, before a loud splash sounded from the bottom of this abyss. Above the railing where Barney resided before his untimely demise, a bullsquid stood recharging after his attack on the unsuspecting security guard..."

It was 2am and Barney was doing the rounds, making sure everything was secure and in order, just like he did every night. He let out a sigh as he dragged his feet across the bridge. 'Why didnt i just stick with medical school, i could have been one of those highly paid scientists enjoying a good nights sleep right now' he thought to himself. He lent on the railing and looked down into the luminous green waste. Just one step and it would all be over. What about my wife? thought Barney. Then he remembered, they were well on the way to a divorce, she wouldnt be upset, heck, shed probably laugh. No need to write a note he thought, no one would read it, all Barneys look the same to those god~~~~ scientists. With that thought, Barney climbed over the railings and with one last look up to the heavens jumped into the acidic lake beneath him. His body was immediately destroyed by the waste, leaving no trace.

Barney was slowly afloat his wooden boat. Out of the abyss, a zombie jumps out of the waste, scuttling at an amazing speed to Barney. Barney paniced and fell in the waste, and died.

Barney was looking for a good spot to get high and thought the bridge would be a good idea. So he got out his bong and took a few good hits. Afet getting really stoned he felt godlike and said "oh man im soo high, nothing can hurt me" and then decided to take a swim in the acid below him. His as got smoked!!

The Barney looks up at the platform, and starts to walk towards it. He is coughing heavily from the toxic waste, and thinks that he has broken his wrist from the long fall. Barney pushes the button for the platform to come down. The platform falls with raging speed and crushes Barney. Chunks of his body fly all over, and his blood covers the floor. Barney didnt realize that the ~~~~ Platform was broken.

I don't think you get the meaning of this topic. It isn't about writing what happens to Barney AFTER he falls, it's about what happened that LEAD him into falling.

Alright then,

Barney walked out to the overwatch of the hazerdous waste plant. The sewage system was clogged up so that meant all bathroom facilities were shut-down. So Barney decided to walk over to the hazerdous waste, and take a piss. So he drops his undies to the point where his bare ~~~ is showing, and does his business. He's there for about 3-5 minutes, taking his time, whistling his tunes. Barney pulls up his pants, turns around, and realizes that the facility he was just in, has now vanished. He looks around for a sec, then realizes that he steped onto a huge log afloat the waste before his piss. He looked around for awhile then realized that there was a huge fall that was ahead of the waste filled river. He saw thick gas in the distance and heard the river rage, with toxic barrels clashing, and green liquid spitting into the air. Barney clutched himself to the log and hoped for the best.........
