~Zombie Panic! Strategies to success!~
By Yokai

Introduction --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zombie Panic! Is a mod where a group of survivors trying to survived from the dead that have come back to life. You need to work together in order to succeed, as any team, and communicate a lot! Sorry for the “lack of detail” in this introduction, but the game is easy to find out. I will be covering a lot of areas.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Survivor Strategies : who said there was no I in teiam...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: The ideas on this tutorial will differ by the person, I understand that! But, I will be covering a bundle of thoughts.

Camping is of course strategic in Zombie Panic. Unlike other games, people should not mind when you camp. I, personally, disagree with camping as a strategy. I believe that because the zombies grow in numbers, of course, and eventually you will be outnumbered. Just because zombies have no brains does not mean they aren’t strategic! ;-D

Now to more serious topics. You must allow others to join with you. If you have ever played a MMORPG, it is sort of like that. You must work together to stay alive or, well, the zombies get you. This is just a simple analogy, but I believe you get what I mean.

Never, ever, stop moving. It does not matter if think a spot is the perfect zombie killing spot. You need to remember that they will keep coming to you. This is pretty much the same as the camping one. But I am trying to prove that zombies will come to the last place you are. You must think like your enemy to defeat your enemy.

Do not play as a “commander” leadership, again some people will disagree. Commanders usually think they have a higher role than you. You don’t want that, in order for people to think the same is if they are the same role. Although, sometimes there are some good players out there you run into like the S.T.A.R.S people.

Do not take or hog all the ammo and guns. Someone else there needs it more than you. I suggest you bind “drop ammo” in the options as right click and “drop gun” as G. The less guns and ammo you have, the faster you run!

Get close to a zombie! When I say close, I really mean that you need to get somewhat near it before you shoot. More shoots are registered when you’re closer. Again, you don’t have to agree, It is said that you will be killed easily. I say use this when your sure you have enough to kill it. Make sure you dont have another zombie buddy trying to join your tea party :D

When you run out of ammo, you don’t fight ‘em with your crowbar, you run like hell. In some servers the ammo re-spawns so run until you find a gun. Remember; drop your weapons before you try to run!

Kill taking, isnt really kill taking, your helping him get rid of the pesky fungus, by killing it again and again and again. Just crowbar it in the behind (heh) while another guy is hitting him with a gun at the front, youll kill it in no time. make sure you jump back after every hit with the crowbar.

Thats all for humans, have a g00t time...

Zombie Stratagy: Be one with the darkness
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Zombies, remember this, humans Love Love love to camp in small areas. dont go for them, its bassicaly sending a sheep through two spining blades and the exit is a gigantic cannon... might as well wait it out. They wont be in there for ever. send 2-3 zombies in there at first, and just mess with their minds, jump up and down the ladder in the vents and enter and exit, soon, all three will die and they will be almost out of ammo. Get a zombie to camp outside of each room, meaning now there is no escape. make sure its a dark area and pretty close to their exit. that way, the zombie wont have to limp all the way over to the exit.

Double teaming may not be allowed in basketball, but its a definate to a zombie success. Plant a "zombie bate" and make him run in and run out fast, have another zombie camping the area next to the exit, eccept put him on the oppisite side of the exit... dont be a chicken zombo, both attack em at once. remember, who gets the kill dont mattter cause it dont count deaths anyway, it is the elimination that counts

Who said a zombie cant be a cheater? zombies cheat all the time, or atleast I think they should. Zombies, lead him to his death, not by killing him, but having the "world spawn kill" him. Send him to a death pit (many zp map with those, for example in rhs22 you can send the person flying out the window if you double team him, though it may not kill him if he is full of health.) and watch him cry during the fall.

Please give me notes, not all notes have been taken into account yet but they will soon

Good guide. But I think it's good to play as a commander and try to get all the humans to the same place, thats almost the only way to win on my own server. Oh and deaths do count but they are not visible.

If you fall out of the window because another player bumps you out, then its you own fault for being so close to an open window.

Pretty good guide, but moving, Lol, I think camping is best, I mean no offence to anyone, but it just safe and best to camp, even thoguh I am against it.

Yes, camping is safer. I usually try to get the players to camp at one spot to prevent beginners from dying. Then I go alone and pick ammo for the team and myself.

yes, but have you ever seen the humans really win when camping....

I dont know if i mentioned htis when i posted the manual but, you must act like wolves! you stay together and you switch to different places... Though you may camp, never stay in the same place for too long because they could plan out how to rush you without killing 1 of them.

Yes, quad17 with 100 zombielives. We camped the human spawn with 5 humans in the team, fortunately there was skilled players in the team and we had enough ammo to kill 100 more zombies. But if there isn't enough manpower or ammo it's best to stay on the move.

I and group of maybe 6 others were able to get the zombies down to 20 lives while on the move, it is probably possible to win while on the move, just really hard.

It's easy to win while moving if having perfect communication, that means that all in the team needs a mic. Me and OkeiDo took the zombies down to 2 lives from 100 while moving, there was 10 zombies + their reinforcements, the round started bad for the humans too.

The other time on quad17 which I meantioned earlier the team was good, but I was the only one with headset so the communication would not work well while moving. So having the team on the move isn't easy without mic, unless typing very fast of course.

Me and Action-Hank was running around on zp_quad17 with 100 zombo lives. He died at 8 and i died at 1 =D.

Then i tried it out on my own and i died at 17 =)

Yeah, on smaller maps like club zombo and when humans start to die off, its always good to find somebody to stick with, the both of you sweep around the map for guns & ammo, and watch eachothers back.

Had to waste like my last 3 mag shots to get a zombo off my partner's back but we found more ammo after awhile so it was good, looted ammo off of dead people also.

EDIT: Another important thing for human survival when camping is, camping in rooms that have light switches where the lights can be turned off is a big nono.
It means you're asking to be in a dark room and get mobbed by alot of zombies.

Its better to stay in close places as a hallway then a medium/large room where zombies can rush from several ways.

Example: on village53, its good for a m4 and shotgun guy to patrol the upper hallway in the building, maybe have a guy with a revolver to watch the elevator ladder. This way when zombies try to take the elevator you can stop them inside and prepare to pick them off or just leave them inside, you can kill them much easier when they're busy climbing also and since its a hallway they don't have many options but to maybe group up at ladder. It's not a bad idea to place a sachel charge at the floor of the elevator ladder to have more control also. People with pistols can offer support or just stay in the bottom room (where you climb the vent ladder down) and have one guard the light switch and the other guard the kitchen enterance.
