Well, I've seen many people ragequit becuase they don't want to be a zombie. Personally, I think being a zombie is a thrilling experience. Not too many people know how to play zombie, making lots an easy kill. This guide will make you a feared zombie, making players type "Oh no, (Your name here) is Whitey again! Where's that nade so I can go suicide?
On your way to brains
Becoming a dreaded zombie player is no easy task. You might have to play a map a lot to develop a "sixth sense" on it. Some may be able to adapt to any surrounding. Before you get started, turn of that music. I think it's like / or something.
Before becoming a regular F2er, play around as a survivor to examine the round for hiding spots. Heck, spectate if you like. Afterwards, play as a zombie to try out that spot. Find a few so it survivors won't be looking for you every time.
Breakfast, the most important meal of they day
You want to eat brains, right? Keep rushing at survivors and getting your brains blown out? Getting food isn't always easy. There's a lot of stuff you'll need to do. Even if you don't get a complete meal, you've helped the other zombies. Just grabbing a bite already helped to get that survivor down for a feast. After a while, you'll get your full meals yourself, just stuff those other piceces of human flesh in your pocket for later.
Becoming a spy
Catch a guy camping a spot hoping for zombies to come? Maybe he/she hasn't even seen you yet. If you think he's gonna stick around for a bit, don't grant him/her his/her wish. If you can, manuever around and get him from the back. This is one of the main playing concepts in my mind.
Sometimes I think I'm holding a knife in my hand getting backstab kills. While you won't always get the kill, you'll still have gotten that first bite. It sometimes takes multiple runs for them pros. A lot of them even watch their backs so be careful. Hidey holes are great for this.
Wait, 250 health? I must've accidentally turned on hacks again
Being the carrier might be the greatest experience you'll have. It's great to be Whitey. With that extra 50 health, and three swipe kill, increased speed, this zombie is a monster. Yet, people still don't appreciate him. Oh yeah, and you can INFECT humans. This is why the Carrier is definitely the best zombie out of them all.
When getting an infection, your victim will turn green. A lot of Whitey players either kill or switch target at this point. This is definitely not a good idea. Killing will decrease the potential chance for them to turn and scare the living wits out of somebody. Switching target makes it too obvious.
Whenever I get an infection in a group, I normally keep swiping but keep backstepping (S) at the last second. It seems like I'm still trying to kill the survivor, but really not. The WORST thing you can do is type "OMg11!! i tatly infctd (Insert name here) al yr brnz r blng 2 meh@@@!!!" The other survivor might tell, so if you find someone like this, remember names and kill instead.
I acutally had quite an experience with people revealing infections. I had a super shorty with the infected guy right behind me, a zombie tells he's infected, so I shoot him in the face, the Quake Sounds yell "TEAMKILLER!" And everybody supposed I hacked. It was actually quite lucky that he was about to turn.
Oh darn! I'm in front of a human, what do I do!
Well, you most likely will encounter death if you run straight at him/her. What you should do is to avoid bullet fire. If your head is moving, and your body still takes shots, you're pretty still drowning clips a survivor could use on your head. Jump, strave, move left or right, heck, move your mouse all crazy, this DOES lead to a harder shot, because zombies are hunchbacked, and they might shoot your back instead of your head. When they reload, go in for the kill, especially if they have a rifle.
Scenario mayhem
There are many typical scenarios as a zombie. I'll just list the most common.
A) Objective Rush: It's extremely easy to get kills on an objective map if you hide. If it's Subway, hide in the Generator room. If it's BioTec, hide behind those doors in red hall.
B) Onslaught: Normally these are ZPS maps, but sometimes ZPO has these too. If you ever encounter a situation that you HAVE to take head on, look at the big picture first. What is the main threat, Barricades, or weapons? It may as well be both. In a Barricade and weapon situation, such as the room with the green cabinets on cinema, break little by little. After every few shots you take, go back and regenerate. Don't waste lives.
In a weapon only situation, keep drawing fire. If you can form an army of zombies, attack with force, you might even push them back or scare them away.
GUNS ARE NOTHING WITHOUT AMMUNITION. (Not unless if this was real life where you could bash zombies on the head with it)
C) Neverdie Group: These groups may seem invincible. There's everyone looking in every direction, and it's incredibly hard to even hit one in the group. When you see these, do not attack. LOOK FOR STRAGGLERS. Otherwise, the humans not smart enough to be in the group. If you have enough zombies of your own, unleash their power! It's pretty much like a gang war at that point. You may only drown clips and shells, but that still is valuable.
Hiding is killing
You might not know what is a great spot to hide. Well, my friend, this is what you need. Typical rules are
1. Where your eyes are, is not always where your head is. If you find a great hiding spot, but still get shot, and not know what's happening, this might be the issue. The top of your head might still show. Go out in real life, and find a spot similar to that one. Have a friend see if they can still see the top of your head.
2. Darkness hides us. It's much easier to see in the light isn't it? If you can find a good dark spot, preferably behind something, you have a great ambush.
3. Altitudes are deadly. A survivor almost never looks up, and if you can find a good spot, you will be deadlier than poison.
Well, I might've screwed up with the sizes, but there's still more to come. More in-depth guides coming soon. Please post constructive criticism, and tips of your own. KTHXBAI
