Minor client update to come.

You should see a very minor update coming up pretty soon. We have uploaded the files, so it is just a matter of it being released via Steam now.

The main thing it does is update the donor list for the month of January. Donors who donated in December or up to this point should see the green status when you see ZPS update. Since we were pretty late getting this out, we gave the time limited donors a free month of donor status, to compensate for the time in January that they lost but donated towards.

Note that this update does not affect servers in any way, so server admins should not have to update anything.

Looking forward to hearing from you at the "Ask a Dev" event! Send a friend to ask questions if the time does not work for you! If you're still unsure about when the event starts in your timezone (02:00 am GMT) then check the events in our ZPS Steam (http://steamcommunity.com/games/zps) group for your local time (assuming that you have set your location right).

When the event starts, then you can either use an IRC client (such as mIRC) and join #zombiepanic @ gamesurge.net, or you can use a java web client. To use the web client, press the Gamesurge picture below or in the left menu on our front page to join the #zombiepanic IRC chat!

Frik, Isnt it a hassle having to upload the file for every month?

Wouldnt it be more convenient to Load the Lists of donor's etc, From a http server?(Like the ingame new's page currently is)

Becuase that way you would be able to update it with out uploading the file?

course it depends on how the donor status is done.

also, the update only updates donor status and nothing else?

I tried a number of ways to do it automatically, but it works out better for us managerially this way anyway. We can just update the list on the first and be done for the month.

And no, it isn't a hassle really. I keep it updated as I go, and all I have to do to update the client is upload one file, then email Valve. The client change is barely noticeable, and anyone who doesn't update isn't missing out on anything except the updated donors.

Suhov, sorry man. I wasn't keeping track of donations then, so I don't really have a way to prove it. We do appreciate the generosity however, as that affords us the ability to fund contests and pay for things like forum licenses.
