Here's a little thing I was working on in Maya. I still can't afford the full version, so you'll have to put up with the watermark for now. (Subliminal message: Send me $2000)

There are other modeling programs out there that give the same functionalty and ability as Maya, and that dont have a ~~~~ed water-mark on it.

The picture needs work, tbh. Reduce the lighting, and use spotlights, not omni-directional lights. Omni lights should only be used for things like lightbulbs. Spotlights can increase the atmosphere of the render by a large, LARGE degree.

Increase the polycount on the arms/hands and define the mesh more. Get or make some good materials and textures, then apply them to the now improved arms/background.

On top of this, change the view. It looks very 2-d for what's supposed to be a 3-d image.

Thanks for the critiscism, Maveric. Here's another hand I did. I still can't figure out how to make the arms less square though. I really hate this watermark. I'll try out some similar programs.
