In the wake of it all(Pre RP setup)

Once again I've returned with and idea for an RP. This one however, is slightly different to that of my past role plays. What I've come up with pits two factions against one another in a medieval fantasy-style alternate version of Earth. The two factions are the "Forsaken legion" (an undead Gothic viking style horde led by a group of Death Knights) And the Human race. The Humans are all united under one banner, therefore they have only one King, and the Forsaken are united under their own. What sets this apart is that there will be players on both sides. The players for the forsaken being death knights - a necromantic/warlock warrior - and those on the Human side being paladins, warriors, and mages. I've opened this thread so that we can plan our characters before hand, and tweak certain aspects to everyones liking.

As the creator of this thread, I will create my character first.

Name: Aden
Faction: Forsaken Legion

Rank: Overlord (Head of the Forsaken, yet for major decisions throughout the plot a council of the Death Knights will we held as to make matters fair. Likewise for that of the Humans.)

Bio: Aden's past is a mystery, even to those closest to him. It is said that he was once a great, and benevolent ruler amongst the humans. Yet along his many journeys he slowly became corrupted for reasons also unknown. For five long years he vanished into obscurity, only to resurface as the leader of the newly formed Forsaken Legion. Based out of the barren and merciless tundra of Antarctica, he rules over his minions with a cold heart, and an iron fist. Having respect only for his Generals (Other players -- Death Knights) Torodar plans to wage a merciless campaign against the Human Race, and claim his rightful place as the ruler of this world.

A few rules before we begin tweaking and making characters:

- No God characters. Magic is allowed, but to a point, nothing insane.

- Stay within the themes boundaries. That means stick to medieval weaponry, and armor ect.

- No flamming

- No spamming

- No arguing. If you have a discrepancy with someone, calmly deal with it outside of the RP through private messages.

- The only Races that you can pick are Undead or Human...nuf said.

Once we gain a Ruler for the Humans, and several Generals on both sides I'll open the actual RP. I ask, however that when it does begin, the first few post for the Forsaken be plotting and preparing, and the first few for Humans be unsuspectingly going about an average day.

A storm is coming.... A snow storm.... And in the wake of it all, there will be either A new.... dark world order... or peace and prosperity.

Seeing as the Forsaken Legion gets Antarctica I forgot to say that the Humans get All of Europe - Eastern and Western. The rest of the world is an uninhabited wasteland.

Bio: Brian is a simple boy raised by a simple pair of parents, two of whom are both grape farmers, owning an average business supplying both the fruits and the wine to the populace. However, what came out of that was a man who is a born inventor and polymath. By the age of six, Brian Boru mastered the common speech amongst the Humans as well as mathematics and a general understanding of how the world works- all the influence of a travelling sage who took an interest in his shining, blossoming talent.

By the age of 12, he knew generally how buildings are constructed and weapons forged. He knew about the general workings of the human body as well as of nature (A rather scorned and obscure art named 'science'). His artistic/aesthetic sense is unequaled. He is somewhat like Leonardo Da Vinci, except undiscovered.

By the time he was 18, he had his own workshop supplying simple furnitures to his neighbours and some special customers from the local aristocrats. A space in it was settled for his curiosities. He had the knack for creating bizarre objects, but has yet to show the world what they are, not that there is anything yet as he is still in the baby steps of experimenting with the unknown and the unseen.

The only body of knowledge he missed however was magic, for he has no access to it. The travelling sage was an odd fellow who scorns the use of magic, believing that it will only one day destroy the world.

When he was 20, he was drafted into the local militia as he is able-bodied and quite well-built in his pursuit for intelligence. With no spare time at all, his innovative creativity was put to a halt. With no time at all, he cannot show his real capabilities and no one will ever know. Perhaps it is up to someone in the military to notice it. Perhaps it is up to no one at all, and the world will know no enlightenment.

No, nothing wrong with your character. But you seem to be right. Not many people are interested in the RP, or in RPing in general. *Sigh* I don't know.... A while ago these forums were lively and full of players. Just look at my old RPs. It's only been a day since this has begun, give it some time then we'll know what to do. I know of another site that has an RP section. If this fails here... we'll try there. I'll send you a link when the time comes.

Toris was once a human. . .a very rich and powerful human. Toris was once a king, before that a knight. . .and long before that a poor farm boy. He was assassinated by his best friend at the age of thirty, and had vowed that he one day would kill that man. It had been hundreds of years since then, but since he figured that his killer was imprisoned forever in a magical stone, he decided to join the newly formed Forsaken Legion and help kill off the humans. But first he had to run an errand. . . . .

Jackson Russon was twnty-nine when he had killed his best friend. He wanted to be the king. He had been magically imprisoned in a stone for hundreds of years, He now awoke. A woman ran over to him and asked how he was, He said hungry. In a flash he was gone!

Jackson was in a very bright room, the light faded quickly as a large sword came into view. He knew that sword anywhere! It was Toris! In one slash Jackson was beheaded and then teleported to a desert far away. . .there he rot for eternity. . .

Toris was happy that his other mage friend had done him that favor, that if he were to be assassinated the assassin would be forever imprisoned until he awoke to kill them.

One of the leaders of the Forsaken Legion recruited him as a High level general, meant to make battle decisions, but he wanted to fight, so he made him a Battle General, because of his experience he was a masterful fighter, and a worthy opponent!


PS a Battle General is a general who fights in battles :D obviously!)

Bio: King Soban inherited the throne after the capital was attacked by savage undead forces. The city was taken, albeit momentarily, and the foul evils therein were driven forthwith. The battle lasted naught a month, yet the losses were great. The previous King Soban had died in defense of the city. When the palace fell, Soban's wife and young daughter were still within. By the light of the morrow when Soban had rallied the troops and lead them back into the city, they had already been killed. So it was that Soban sorrowfully took upon his brow the icon of leadership from his father's body, swearing to bring justice to the lands he watched over and scour the dark blight that had festered in it forever more.

His snide, condescending demeanor and unique sense of honor creates a character not many enjoy. A fact that he relishes greatly.

I'll show you with an example but overall I'd say it's free form. Let's say a city is under siege. Let's say it's England. I'll post from the POV of someone viewing it from afar. A Forsaken general and may be a future NPC.

EX:

My troops were in full charge. From atop this overlooking ridge I could see it all. As they swarmed out of the surrounding forests, and clashed with the feeble human soldiers, the screams of panicking civilians could be heard from within the city walls for miles. Though the humans archers, foot soldiers, and catapults clashed with my men, they were no match for our skill and sheer numbers. As the battle waged I, upon my undead mount ( http://pix.sparky-s.ie/images/xxgppehjf4y6mi3t8i82.jpg picture this.), decided to join the fight. As I rode through the battlefield, sword in hand, I slayed countless enemys. I could see the end of this "war", and it did not bode well for the humans. As the last of their defenses fell, my troops flooded into the city, taking no prisoners.

Something like that for a battle, overall just react to another players post. Don't control their character unless they gave permission, other than that it's free-form. Just don't power game when it comes to fighting another player if it comes up, and don't take down a army single handed. Have it include your character name, appearance, faction ( we need one more forsaken. ), rank ( if you go forsaken, make yourself a type of general.), and a small bio. Since this is a forum. once it gets started tomorrow, transfer your profile into the new section

Background: Iron tooth comes from the Scottish Highlands. He was raised by only his father. His mother was killed when he was but a small lad. His father was a blacksmith, so Iron-tooth can create and fix his weapons and armor, in the right location, with the right materials. He Created his Iron axe, so that it was best suited to himself. After all the time he spent toiling away at fires, he has grown to be quite strong.
