FIRST OF ALL (this is directed towards OkeiDo)
I belive a written survival guide should be able to be posted without getting closed. Any phrases i use are just to get a lol out of you. Admins should really give you a message if you broke some kind of unstated rule.
For some unspoken reason I have been banned from the Ideas And Suggestions Topic and my former thread with this guide was closed and locked
Chapter 1 PANIC!!!
Although it is a rarely used strategy, the panic feature is a crucial tool to surviving the round. If you find yourself alone in a multi-zombie situation, you should press “P” drop all of your weapons and boost ahead of our fellow undead colleges at a speed 1.5 times their standard walking speed. However, without proper planning this tactic could be the death of you.
If it is necessary to your survival to panic, always direct yourself into low traffic, labyrinthine areas.
An example; Lets say our survivor (lets call him Eugene) is caught up in the red halls of Biotech; his buddies have recently met their fate at the hands of the undead horde as they exited the laboratory. Walks briskly across the cubicles to the big hall, where a certain white zombie lurks in the shadows to meet him. He panics and instead of turning around, he hits the zombie out of the way and bolts up the stairs to his escape.
Now if our friend here ran the obvious path through the cafeteria, he would have met his fate at the hands of a zombie horde.
Chapter 2 Give A Little, Get A Lot
The defining trait of Zombie Panic is its ammo sharing system. This system is a safeguard against one player hoging all of the ammo.
Look here now; do you really need all those weapons () OF COURSE YOU DONT! I mean look a you, you can barely run and zombies always go for the slowest of the bunch. Instead, share your ammo by toggling to the kind he needs by pressing "V" and then press "T" to drop it in front of them. If you yourself are short on ammo, press "B" to change the amount you drop.
Chapter 3 Block Their Passsage
Generally blocking someones passage is rude and frowned upon in most modern society.... But since you are dealing with zombies here you should do so whenever possible.
To move objects, you dont simply hit them with your melee weapon. Press "H" to holster your weapon. This will allow you to use left click to push objects. some objects provide more cover than others when standing striaght up or on their side. To flip objects, hit left click quickly while looking up. Usually the object will turn on its side in order for you to squeeze it in to those tight spots.
Chapter 4 Do The Objectives
On maps with the zpo designation rather than zps you will have a set objective and zombies will have unlimited lives. Shooting at them forever wont help this time old chap YOU HAVE TO DO THE OBJECTIVES.
Your first objective is usually displayed in the center of your screen at the start of the game. Objectives vary; finding keys, calling for help, turning on a switch, breaking something, ect.
On zpo_biotech, you must find the keys before you can continue on. Search through the offices until you find them. Once you find them, press "E" to pick them up.
Chapter 5 Stick Together
Its a harsh world out their and you dont want to find yourself walking alone in it unless you want to be tonights supper.:zombo:
If you stick with your teammates there will always be someone to watch your back in a sticky situation.
Staying with your fellow survivors is a incredible feat of quick wit in itself. Usually they will split up into 2 or 3 groups. The choice is yours on where to go if that situation arises.
But if you team does stick together you must always watch your neighboor. For good or bad. For instance, your buddy appears to be running low on ammo, give hime some. Or worst case scenario, hes infected and its your responsibility to take care of him....a headshot will do it.
