Ok, so first off, this guide will not work for everyone! I'm inputting my playing style into this and if you aren't used to it then this guide will not work.
Step 1: Spawn
First off, have half your team go through the gate and the noob half go underground.
Going through the gate:
This is one of the hardest ways to go if you have noobs on your team. ONLY ONE PERSON TRIES TO HIT THE LOCK OTHERWISE YOU END UP HITTING EACH OTHER AND GETTING NOWHERE!!! If you have to, tell all the noobs off the bat that the underground way is faster, which is a lie but will make things run smoother. IF you only have one person trying to get through the gate, it should be incrediblely easy and fast to get through.
Going uderground:
This way is easy and good for noobs, but will take longer. There is a hole in the ground covered up by 2 planks. It's right next to a generator with the ghost of a gas can. Don't worry about that right now, just break the planks and head underground. If you were facing the generator when you went down, you need to turn left. If you were facing the other way, turn right. If you're new, follow the guy who looks like he knows what he's doing. If you are an experienced player, you will have to go this way to help herd the noobs in the right direction. Remember, when crawling up the pipe, you have to jump to get off of it, other wise you will be stuck. Once you get off the pipe, up the stairs and to the left is a rifle.
Step 2: Ammo Round-Up
Primarily your objective here is to etinguish the fire blocking your way. However, there is also a buttload of ammo around here.
The Shed:
Inside of the shed is a rifle, and some ammo. DO NOT GRAB THE RIFLE IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ANOTHER BIG GUN OR YOU WILL MOVE MUCH TO SLOWLY!!! Evenly distribute them, and give some of the rifle ammo to the other guy with a rifle. Just outside the shed there is a shovel on the ground. DO NOT TAKE IT IF YOU HAVE ANY RIFLE OR SHOTGUN!!! If you are lucky enough to get either one, you will be much better armed than the player who didn't get any guns. Give the shovel to him instead, you won't need it.
The Van:
The white van by the fire has a randomly generated ammo box and a shotgun in it. To grab the ammo box, you don't have to go into the van. Just stand by the back of it and pick it up from the outside. The same goes for the shotgun, except you will have to go by the side door in order to grab that. If you get the shotgun, ask the guys who went to the shed to give you half of the shells they picked up.
There are som other ammo boxes around this area, but I don't know exactly where they are. Some of it's randomly generated while some of it's always magnum ammo. It is ok to pick up the magnum ammo for now, as long as you are planning to pick up a magnum or giving it to someone else.
The Fire:
Rember that generator at spawn? Well now's the time you get to turn it on. As soon as you see a message saying gas can retrieved, head back to spawn and go to the generator. Even if you weren't the person who grabbed the can, you can place it in the spot where the ghost can is. ONLY ONE PERSON HAS TO HEAD BACK IN ORDER TO DO THIS!!! However, there is a maintenence room that has some ammo in it. This is also the room you must enter to turn off the fire. There is a valve on a pipe that you have to turn and then the fire will turn off. A trick to doing this quickly is waiting by the gas can without going and getting ammo. You miss out on the big guns, but you can grab the ammo in the maintenence room.
During all of this WATCH OUT FOR ZOMBIES!!! They can still get to you without going through the fire. Although they shouldn't be much of a problem, whitey can infect you so watch out!
Step 3: The Gates
Even though this is a relatively small part of the map, yet so many people don't know how to do it correctly, so I think it deserves a section of it's own.
Getting through the van:
Now this is a very simple process, yet there are so many noobs right now almost nobody knows how to do it right. As soon as you go through the fire (wait for it to turn off) look around the corner for zombies. They like to hide around there. After you secure the area, send ONE person to each of the wheels on the walls. You do not have to use both of these levers at the same time, and the doors don't even both need to be open at the same time. Just make sure somebody uses the wheel closest to the door on the side of the van. Then, once sombody is in the van, open the other door with the other lever. Now I'm going to say this nicely and calmly...
ONLY ONE PERSON NEEDS TO GO INTO THE VAN!!! IF MORE THAN ONE PERSON TRIES TO USE THE LEVER AT THE SAME TIME IT DOESN'T WORK!!! YES, THE ZOMBIES CAN CLIMB OVER THE VAN!!!
There, I put it out there plainly and for all to see.
The van is not a zombie sniping post. Do not camp in there trying to pick off zombies while screaming at your teamates to "Do the objective!" Just go through and knock down the 2 planks. Keep some people watching the top of the van. Zombies can hop over and attack you. It should be very easy to knock them off if you riflemen keep up the fire.
Step 4: Fans and Tunnels
After you exit from the gate barricade, you will be facing a city street with a few cars and a lot of places for zombies to hide. I recomend looking around corners before proceding in order to guard your back.
Open street:
On the open street, you will see a blue door, and a fence that's peeled down. You cannot open the blude door, and instead should hop over the fence. Other than that, there's not much to this section.
Courtyard:
Once you hop the fence, you will see a ladder to your left, and a doorway to your right. The ladder is useless, it is just a way zombies can use the ambush you in the earlier parts of the map. Jumping down from there leads you back to spawn and wastes lots of time. Go through the doorway infront of you and you will see some stairs. Go up them and you will end up in the upper story of a house. Grab the guns if you need them, and continue through to the other set of stairs. Below the stairs is a vent shaft that some of your players will go through. Don't worry about it right now. Once you go down the stairs, you will be facing a courtyard with 2 doors to the right, and one door to the left. Along with the door to the left is a vent shaft with a red light over it. This is where you will head eventually. Head through the door closest to you on the right. Go through all of the doors untill you reach a room with a boarded up blue door. This is the door that you can see in the open street earlier. DO NOT SHOOT THE PLANKS!!! IT ONLY MAKES IT EAISIER FO THE ZOMBIES TO GET YOU!!! Press the lever under the t.v. screen and head back out to the courtyard. If you didn't bust open the blue door, then it should be very easy to defend.
The Fan:
Remember that air vent under the stairs? Well if you decide to head through there, you will come into a room with a fan. The lever turns off the fan, and you can head through. BE CAREFULL!!! THE FAN TURNS BACK ON IN A FEW SECONDS AND YOU MIGHT GET SMASHED!!! Go through the vent on the other side, and you will be in a tunnel. You can see the big vent that leads to the courtyard. Press the button next to it to open it for your comrads. Follow the tunnel, picking up the weapons along the way untill you come to a room with a table that has lots of ammo on it. Pick it up and get ready.
You must have at least 2 people in order to do this. The fan turns back on too quickly to just have 1 person flip the switch and go through the fan. Also, if the people in the courtyard die, but they managed to flip th switch, then you shouldn't open the vent, because it will let the zombies get to you quicker.
Step 5: Zombie House
When you open the door you will be facing another city street with many burning cars strewn along it. Zombies love to ambush people here, so watch out! The zombie spawn is very close here, and they can jump off the roofs to ambush you. By now many survivors will have died and the zombies numbers will have swelled.
Gunshop:
To the left side of the street is a gunshop. Inside of it are a bunch of guns and ammo. Take it and get ready fo the final assualt!
House Key:
On the RIGHT side of the street is a door leading to a hotel. On the desk in the lobby is a keyring. Grab it and head for you final objective: the Zombie House.
Death to the zombies!:
Run down the street, ignoring zombies chasing you. You can even panic to make things go faster, but keep some ammo in your gun just in case, and you'll need some to finish the mission. You will come to a chain-link gate. Hit it with your meele weapon and it should open. Go around the corner looking out of defending zombies along the way. You will come to a barn-like house. Shoot any of the explosive barrels and you will win the level! Congratulations!!!
Pantz's Helpful Hints:
I've heard some unconfirmed reports that you can run through the flames even before the animation turns off. As soon as the message comes up on your screen, you can go through. This is unconfirmed however.
When in the van with the gates, instead of runing out to hit the planks with your meele, just shoot them down. It's faster and safer.
I know some of this guide is incorrect, so please, comment and help me out. This is my first guide and hopefully it helps you out. Have fun and good luck!
Special thanks to:
Wolfaith for helping me learn my way around the map.
Padre for being my survival mate on this map and others.
And Blitzidus for inspiring me to make a guide of my own, thanks guys.
